Brother Olivie

A wonderful man lives in the "Resurrection" church in Abu Ghosh.

In the heart of a Muslim village, or better said a Mamluk village that originates in Chechnya in the Caucasus mountains, known to most of us as "Abu Ghosh" a name that rhymes with the words The Best Hummus in … Abu Ghosh, in a Benedictine monastery where Jesus was first seen after being resurrected (out of three places competing for this title).

Here is the home of monks and nuns dressed in white from the Benedictine order, and the one and only, Brother Olivia. He came to us in 1977 (a wonderful year for the Jewish people, Entebbe, Rina Moore, Maccabi Tel Aviv, the political "Mahapach", the peace agreement and the Eurovision Song Contest. for those who forgot) and since then he has been "permanently signed" as he used to say. He managed to serve in the French navy in the Navy. Fluent in Hebrew, immersed in military slang with a French accent, saying things that comes from the heart and enter the heart about the place and about life, especially here in a small village that centers life in our country, his pluralistic views as a Benedictine Christian monk are expressed in songs he sings in an amazing Capella. – Definitely worthy of the definition a wonderful man you must come and get to know!
